2014 Wing Wars Review

Today was the 10th annual Wing Wars in Troy. All three foodies went to this event, and as usual, we all had our own top favorites. There was a good crowd attending again this year and 15 participating restaurants.
Wing Wars is a fun event that lets you try all sorts of wacky wing variations (some of the stranger ones this year were a pepperoni pizza wing and a raspberry wing with Thai peanut sauce -PB&J - wing). As with all events like this, there are some long lines and the very important cash bar.
Our own Foodie Josie was selected to be an official judge of the blind taste test.
At $20 / per person, it is a bargain for all the samples you get, and you get to help support a local school.
Our Votes:
Brian: Forty One Sports Bar & Grill (Habenero wing)
Josie: Recovery Room (Blue Cheese Buffalo wing)
Kent: Black Bear (Bourbon wing)

Hello,
Orange Mango is now open and would like to invite you to come in a try our modern Thai Cuisine. We have a happy hour Sunday-Thursday 4-630 with great drink and appetizer specials. We hope to see you soon and thanks from our staff here at Orange Mango!
Orange Mango's menu is similar to Blue Spices, with a few new additions.
Orange Mango is located at the old location of Blue Spice at 1614 Central Ave. in Colonie
Pig Out / Bacon Fest Pictures

A few weeks ago, Troy held their annual Troy Pig Out. This year, they were joined with the Bacon Festival that was held for the first time last year in Hudson.
The joining of the two events scared me a little, I feared it would take away from each individual event. I was wrong. Both the BBQ and the Bacon were clearly represented, with something for everyone.
